Kmart shoppers lose their minds over new $25 ‘mag…

Kmart Australia shoppers are racing to get their hands on a festive season gadget that controls Christmas lights with a touch of ‘magic’.

The Kmart LED Magical Lighting Wand $25 is a clever gadget that wirelessly connects to your Christmas tree lights.

By waving the wand, the device turns your festive lights on or off.

And for an added touch of whimsy, the wand flashes at the star tip and emits a magical chime noise when waved.

Meisha Carson shared a TikTok video demonstrating the Kmart Magical Lighting Wand in action.

‘How cute is this – I’ve got a little magic wand from Kmart that you… (connect) to your Christmas tree lights,’ she said in the 22-second video.

Waving the wand towards her cutely decorated and light-adorned Christmas tree, Meisha exclaimed that she simply waves the device to turn the lights on.

Aussie woman Meisha Carson shared a TikTok video demonstrating the festive season buy in action

‘(Y)ou can be a fairy godmother and turn your Christmas tree on,’ the delighted shopper declared in the post shared to her @meishacarsonn account.

As demonstrated in Meisha’s video, a flick of the wand not only sees the tree light up, but also emits a delightful fairy tinkling sound effect. (Precisely the noise you’d imagine that a magic wand makes!)

Meisha’s video instantly tickled fellow festive-season lovers.

‘SORRY WHAT?!?’ read one astonished reply.

‘OMG HOW MAGICAL,’ one woman responded.

‘I NEED THAT FOR CHRISTMAS,’ declared one woman.

Kmart has stocked a similar Christmas light wand in previous seasonswith some shoppers who’d purchased the older version confirming that it was a buy that continues to bring them joy.

‘I’ve had this wand for a few years now and it’s the highlight of my Christmas when I bring it out,’ said one woman.

Meisha’s recent TikTok video shared on October 21 to her @meishacarsonn quickly attracted over 130,000 likes. But some comments on the post questioned whether October was too early to set up a Christmas tree

‘Best part of Christmas is using the wand,’ concurred another person.

The easy-to-set-up device comes with an RF adaptor that connects to most existing low-voltage Christmas lights.

The plastic wand has a white LED star-shaped bulb at the end, which flashes when it’s waved.

It requires 2xAAA batteries to operate and its dimensions are 33cm high and 9cm wide.

The wand is completely battery operated and cord free, and has a 15 metre range to turn the lights on and off.

The LED Magical Lighting Wand is described in the online product description as a way to make ‘lighting up your Christmas display feel like pure magic’.

‘Perfect for kids and families, it adds a playful, interactive twist to your festive lighting.’

Meisha’s recent TikTok video shared on October 21 quickly attracted over 130,000 likes.

However, a number of comments insisted it was far too early to set up a Christmas tree.

‘Girl, it’s October,’ read one reply – with the same sentiment echoed in a number of responses.

But others defended the right to embrace holiday season decorations as early as you like.

‘It brings joy,’ read one reply. ‘Who cares if it’s “too early”. Too early for what?? Let’s enjoy the holidays whenever and however we want!!’
